Happy National Dog Friendly Day!

At Brandy HQ, one of our favourite topics to discuss is dog-friendly locations across Ireland & Northern Ireland – who doesn’t want to bring their four-legged friend with them as much as they can?

To celebrate this amazing day, we have decided to do a recap of some of our favourite #DogFriendlyLocalFocus locations so far. From pubs to hotels to walks – this will be your one-stop shop for all things dog-friendly!

BlackDog Coffee – Enfield, County Meath

First up we will be talking about BlackDog Coffee which is in Enfield, County Meath. This stunning coffee shop loves our canine companions as much as we do – providing puppachinos, waters bowls and treats! There are no restrictions on size and your pup can accompany you inside and outside.

The Sunflower Public House – Belfast

Moving on from coffee shops, we want to shed a light on one of our favourite dog-friendly pubs which is in Belfast. The Sunflower Public House adores dogs, and they love featuring your perfect pups on their socials! Water bowls and treats are provided and it’s safe to say your dog will be a happy camper while you enjoy a delicious drink.

Glasson Lakehouse – Athlone, County Westmeath

If you like to find dog-friendly resorts, or just love a getaway in general, we think Glasson Lakehouse might be the perfect spot for you!

Located in Athlone, this hotel featured in the Irish Independents “Top Pet-Friendly Stays for 2022” and there is no doubt that this is a canine heaven. You can book one of their exclusive Doggy Rooms where your pup will be provided with blankets, water bowls, treats and lots of space for play!

However – it doesn’t stop there. When checking in, reception staff can provide maps, leads, picnic spots and dog-friendly walks in the surrounding area. It really does feel like a home away from home!

Fancy dinner with your pup? The Anglers Bar in Carraigrohane, County Cork caters to dogs of all sizes. Your dog can sit in their dog-friendly chairs under a heater while you indulge in a delicious meal. They also provide water bowls for your canine companion.
