but for this next list, we’re going back to the basics, so let's get into it!
The Marina – Blackrock, County Cork
The Marina is one of Cork City's most beloved spots, and the Marina Walk is a stunning pedestrian route that stretches along the south bank of the River Lee. Starting at Cork Harbour and making its way toward Blackrock Village, this walk offers beautiful views and plenty of space for your pup to explore.
In addition to the Marina Walk, there's a parallel greenway, making it perfect for a variety of outdoor adventures. If you're a fan of wildlife, you're in for a treat — the area is home to several different habitats, rocky shores, coastal woodlands, and the freshwater Atlantic Pond.
While it can get busy on weekends, there are plenty of paths and places to discover, ensuring both you and your furry companion have a fantastic time!

St Anne’s Park – Dublin, County Dublin
St Anne’s Park, located on the north side of Dublin between Raheny and Clontarf, is a 240-acre haven for both humans and dogs.
As the second-largest municipal park in Dublin, it has something for everyone — from vast open spaces and woodland trails to beautiful walled gardens, charming follies, and various sports pitches.
For dog owners, St Anne’s Park also features a dedicated Dog Park, complete with fresh water and separate enclosures for large and small pups, ensuring your furry friend has a safe and fun space to play.

Ballycastle Forest – Ballycastle, County Antrim
The scenic trail is a 5km loop - perfect for taking your pup - and it is about 1 hour and 40 minutes long. You’ll get to enjoy views of Ballycastle, Rathlin Island and even Scotland on a clear day!
Ballycastle Forest is definitely not one to be missed, you and your pup are guaranteed to be in for a treat on walks here!

Clonbur Woods – Dun Mhuire, County Galway
Clonbur Woods, located next to the village of Clonbur in County Galway, offer a peaceful and picturesque woodland walk.
The woods were once part of the Ashford Estate, owned by the Guinness family until 1939, adding a touch of history to your adventure. The forest roads provide a scenic route, and along the way, you can spot the ruins of Ballykine Castle.
Managed by Coillte, Clonbur Wood also offers a downloadable trail map to help you navigate the area, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing day out with your furry friend.

Rossbeigh Beach – Glenbeigh, County Kerry
Rossbeigh is a stunning 6km sandy beach that boasts breathtaking views over Dingle Bay. Well-maintained and popular, the beach offers plenty of parking close to the water, as well as a playground, café, and nearby toilets for added convenience.
It's a great spot to enjoy with your dog, but it's worth checking the tides before you go — at high tide, the beach can be quite narrow, but at low tide, you'll have plenty of sand to explore, along with dunes for your pup to sniff around.

Redburn County Park – Holywood, County Down
This stunning walk is in Holywood, just outside Belfast city. It is a 7km woodland walk with the top viewpoint showing off some of the best views of Belfast!
It is the perfect walk for you and your pup to enjoy – especially now that we are in 2025, and spring is just a short time away!

Curragh – Newbridge, County Kildare
The Curragh is a vast open plain of common land, world-renowned for its association with horse breeding and racing. Spanning almost 5,000 acres, it’s the perfect place for a long walk with your dog.
Early visitors might catch sight of horses out on exercise but be aware that free-roaming sheep also graze in the area, so it's a good idea to keep your furry friend on a leash to ensure everyone's safety.
